Digital Concert Hall
Aug. 26th, 2010 12:42 pm If you are a fan of the Berliner Philarmoniker, or great orchestras in general, you may be pleased to know that the Berliner Philarmoniker records some of its concerts for the whole world to see online (yes, they are video recordings!). It's a bit expensive (the best plan is 149€ for a year subscription), but consider you have access to around 60 recordings on the archives, access to live recordings and all this with an insane quality... it's well worth it. Plus, students get a discount (a 30% discount!)
The new season starts tomorrow, with Beethoven's 4th Symphony and Mahler's 1st Symphony. Unfortunately my current Internet connection has several limitations in data bandwidth and speed, so I won't be "attending" the concert, but I won't miss the next one!
